NEIGHBORHOOD DESCRIPTION

Capilla de Piedra is 1/2 mile away from “La Parroquia”, very close to the best restaurants, museums, galleries and stores.

STEEP
From the apartment to downtown you will be walking down, the map applications indicate a walk of about 10 minutes. Please note that going back is much harder, since you will be walking up. Many guests prefer to take a cab or Uber to go back from downtown to the Villa.

NOISE
The residential area “El Atascadero” is only a few steps away from downtown, and being close to everything has a price. Downtown San Miguel is famous for its endless parties and religious celebrations… not to mention the church bells.

GETTING AROUND

WALKING
In downtown, everything is easier when you are walking. We recommend using confortable shoes with ankle support. Most of the streets are cobble stone and it is easy to twist your ankle (high heels are not for San Miguel, they are dangerous)

The Villa includes Parking

TAXIS and UBER
Some interesting spots like “Fabrica la Aurora” or “El Charco el Ingenio” are not so close, so you can take a Taxi or Uber, they cost about 50 pesos each way. If you come in you own car, it is better to leave yours at the Villa and use a cab or Uber, finding a parking spot downtown is not easy.

FREE SHUTTLE DOWNTOWN
Capilla the piedra has a 12 passenger van which will go every couple of hours from the club house to San Francisco’s church. We’ll send you the schedule once you get here.
