The house is located in one of the main streets of downtown San Miguel de Allende. Surrounded by the best restaurants, museums, art galleries and shops.
MOSTLY FLAT
It is 4 mostly flat blocks away (1/4 mile) from the Parish (Jardin Principal).
NOISE
Being close to everything comes with a price, it will be noisy during fiestas/holidays and the church bells are significant. Loud bangs (similar to fireworks) are set off by people at odd times (night and day) around churches to celebrate minor religious festivals throughout the year.
Getting around
WALKING
You will be walking a lot, we recommend that you bring shoes with ankle support. Some streets are flat cobble stones, but many are round cobble stones and it is easy to twist an ankle.
PARKING
If you are driving, the house does NOT have private parking. The majority of the guests look for a spot to park in the street for free. If you prefer to leave your car in a Public Parking Lot (pension), or you can’t find any because it is a busy day, there is one just besides the house (They charge $350 pesos for 24 hours, please keep in mind that the price may vary).
CABS AND UBER
Some places like “Fabrica la Aurora” or “El Charco del Ingenio” are not at walking distance, taxis and Uber service are available at reasonable prices.
